UMPIRE TRAINING

Call It Right

Little League Baseball umpiring, from your first plate meeting through the play nobody in the park has seen before.

Who it’s for

New and returning volunteer umpires working the 60-foot diamond — including the teenagers doing their first season.

What’s inside
  • 72 lessons across five levels, 5–10 minutes each — stop and resume anytime
  • Positioning questions you answer by tapping the field diagram, not by picking from a list
  • Four repeatable modules: Positioning Practice, Division Differences, Safety Awareness, Ending the Game
  • Six self-guided field stations, every one of them runnable alone
  • A 35-question Final Knowledge Check, and a Certificate of Achievement at 85%
Not official Little League certification, and not a substitute for your league's own umpire training. Your league decides who works its games.

UMPIRE TRAINING

Call It Right — Softball

Little League Softball umpiring, built where the softball rulebook is genuinely its own — starting with the part that is nothing like baseball.

Who it’s for

Umpires working softball, and baseball umpires picking up softball games — where a confident baseball instinct is the likeliest way to get a call wrong.

What’s inside
  • Baseball-to-Softball Differences: what carries, what does not, and what this course has not settled
  • Pitching Rules: the boundary cases where legal and illegal look almost identical
  • Pitching Limits: innings rather than pitches, and the questions it hands back to your league
  • Deliberately partial — blocks are added where the two rulebooks diverge, not to fill out a level map
Not a complete umpire course on its own, not official Little League certification, and no certificate is issued for it. Where Little League's own material stops, this program says so on screen rather than filling in the gap.

SCOREKEEPING TRAINING

Keep the Book

Scorekeeping for youth baseball and fastpitch softball — for whoever got handed the book.

Who it’s for

Parents, team managers and anyone keeping the book for a rec, travel or league team, on paper or in an app.

What’s inside
  • 70 lessons across five levels, 5–10 minutes each — stop and resume anytime
  • Score the Play: you pick the finished scorebook cell that records what happened
  • Five extras: the Hit or Error drill, plus Know Your League, Paper vs. App, Sport Differences and The Scorekeeper's Lane
  • Six self-guided live-rep stations you can run from the couch with a game on
  • A 40-question knowledge check, and a Certificate of Achievement at 85%
Does not make anyone an official scorer. That designation is made by your league, through its own process, and this program has no part in it.

COACH TRAINING

Teach the Game

Volunteer youth baseball and softball coaching — for the parent who said yes and starts in three weeks.

Who it’s for

First-time and returning volunteer coaches at any age group, in any organization, with or without playing experience.

What’s inside
  • Five levels, three cross-cutting modules and two repeatable drills — 54 lessons, 871 screens, free start to finish
  • Thirty practical reps in six stations, all doable before you have a roster
  • A 40-question knowledge check with no pass mark — a self-check, not a credential
  • Draft Day: the three weeks before your first practice, where most of a season is decided
  • First Practice: running the group, built on one idea — a kid standing in a line is not practising
  • Game Day: lineups, substitutions, the dugout, umpires — and managing rather than teaching
  • The Long Season: playing time, the parent in the car park, injuries, and your own capacity
  • Actually Coaching: one cue at a time, teaching what you cannot do, and did any of it work
  • Cross-cutting: safety on your field, baseball vs. softball, and the youngest division
  • Two drills that draw a fresh mix every run — plan a practice, and is that fair to expect
  • Build a real session against a clock that does not move — every minute comes off another block
  • No numbers on pitch counts or rest — those differ by league, and the pitch count tool has yours
  • Takes no side on hitting or throwing mechanics, on purpose
Does not certify, qualify or approve anyone to coach, and satisfies none of what your league requires — the background check and any training your state mandates are separate from this and unaffected by it.
